2008 CompetitionThe eleventh annual Utah Envirothon will be held April 25 & 26, 2008, in Moab. Registration and the Oral Competition will be held on Friday evening at the Moab Arts & Rec Center. The field competition on Saturday will be held on BLM land nearby (specific site information coming soon). This year's current issue is: recreational impacts on natural resources. Study materials available! Study materials have been developed for the Forestry, Wildlife and Soils areas. The Stream Side Science activity guide will serve as the Aquatic Ecology study guide. See the Study Areas section for these and additional study resources. Continuing to be offered this year! The Utah Envirothon is still offering sets of three videotapes of "Envirothon 101" broadcast several years ago through the USU Extension Satellite system. These1 1/2-hour training tapes provide hands-on demonstrations of Envirothon learning objectives that will prove valuable for teams preparing for the competition. A set of three tapes is $15.
