2000 Utah Envirothon
The third annual Utah Envirothon was held at Farmington Bay Waterfowl
Management Area on the shore of the Great Salt Lake in Davis County
with 14 teams competing. The current issue was wetlands management.
Winning team: Logan High
School in Logan, Utah, sponsored by the North Cache Soil Conservation
District
Advisor: Jack Greene

Our winning team traveled to Wolfville, Nova Scotia, to
Acadia University, to compete in the Canon Envirothon, where
they placed 22 out of 49 teams.

For the first time,
the Utah Envirothon was designated the Utah FFA Association
State Environmental & Natural
Resources Career Development Event (state contest). Our winning
team traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, to represent the state
at the National FFA Competition.
